Polar Night

A Polar night occurs from when the sun is not visible above the horizon for over 24 hours.  Polar night is the opposite of polar day, when for 24 hours the sun never goes down past the horizon.  Polar nights and polar days only occur at the North and South poles.


Polar nights occur from September - March at the North Pole and from March - September at the South Pole.
